First Fridays at the Guggenheim

Spring is coming! After sunny picnic in the Central Park, you can walk to Guggenheim Museum for PARTY!!!
The only place where you can catch an uptowner in Guccis getting down to Philly mash-up master Diplo's crazy beats while surrounded by a priceless art collection, the Guggenheim First Fridays is a nightlife phenomenon.

As they kick the party back into gear for the spring season, picture an amped crowd dancing amongst 120 works by iconic American sculptor David Smith — part of the museum's new exhibition to celebrate Smith's centennial.

So hustle up to 89th Street to dance to the downtown sounds of rockstar DJs, then visit there to trainspot friends on the photoblog and get pumped for the next installment...

Don’t miss the wildly popular First Fridays at the Guggenheim. Explore the galleries while sipping a cocktail and listening to world-renowned DJs in the spectacular setting of the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed building.

5th Ave at 89th St 9PM-1AM
$20 admission (Cash only at the door)
FREE for Guggenheim Members
APR 7 - RJD2
Beans

I recommend RJD2.His work combine Hip hop, trance with some techno elements .You don't have to worry about "hip hop"
shut you down,it's really different from pop music. Some febulious VJ will also show their muti video art there.

about RJ D2---Contrary to popular belief, heroes sometimes lurk behind the curtains, actively choosing to elude visibility. Make no mistake, though-if the mystery man behind the boards is the man behind a classic beat, you'll soon know his name. In the late 90's, producers crept from the shadows to seize the spotlight of mainstream hip-hop, as well as the pop charts. In the last few years, one man shows such as Moby, DJ Shadow and Timbaland have proved what underground hip-hop fans have known since Marley Marl's heyday-a talented producer can shine solo. Enter RJD2.
