Paulistana Chair ---born by Pritzker 06' winner
A Brazilian version of a Bauhaus classic, Paulo Mendes da Rocha’s Paulistano Chair (1957) is a piece that holds its own with the iconic cantilevered armchairs from Alvar Aalto, Mart Stam, Mies van der Rohe and other European classics.
Paulo Mendes da Rocha of Brazil is the winner of the 2006 Pritzker Prize winner. The 77-year old architect is Brazil's second Pritzker laureate joining Oscar Niemeyer who was honored in 1988. Mendes da Rocha began his career in the 1950's and was part of what was then considered the avant-garde in São Paulo, known loosely as creators of the Paulist brutalist architecture. During a career that spans six decades, he has maintained his own practice, taught for many years at the University of São Paulo, and contributed to the professional community through his work as president of the Brazilian Institute for Architects.
Details that make a difference are the signature of this architect. The frame, a continuous 17-foot piece of solid stainless steel, is shaped under 200 lbs of hydraulic pressure over 24 hours. The result is a sinuous structure welded in a single spot and wrapped in almost an entire hide of leather that will gain depth and luster as it ages. Exceptionally comfortable, the Paulistano flexes slightly and can be adjusted for upright or relaxed sitting positions by shifting the leather sling up or down the frame. The Paulistano is hand-machine polished and may exhibit markings consistent with hand craftsmanship.

Beans
I recommend RJD2.His work combine Hip hop, trance with some techno elements .You don't have to worry about "hip hop"
shut you down,it's really different from pop music. Some febulious VJ will also show their muti video art there.
about RJ D2---Contrary to popular belief, heroes sometimes lurk behind the curtains, actively choosing to elude visibility. Make no mistake, though-if the mystery man behind the boards is the man behind a classic beat, you'll soon know his name. In the late 90's, producers crept from the shadows to seize the spotlight of mainstream hip-hop, as well as the pop charts. In the last few years, one man shows such as Moby, DJ Shadow and Timbaland have proved what underground hip-hop fans have known since Marley Marl's heyday-a talented producer can shine solo. Enter RJD2.

about Beans
Raised in White Plains, NY and first picked up on in the mid-90's as part of the mythic Brooklyn Boom Poetic collective and the word began to spread. Having achieved his widest acclaim as one-third of the legendary NYC progressive rap crew, Anti Pop Consortium, BEANS continues his grand experiments in music and life with the release
of his debut solo album, Tomorrow Right Now, out on Warp Records in March of 2003.

What did I do ---midterm self-evaluation
I think my logical problem is more serious than writing problem. The way American use to is much more directly than my culture. Thus ,I always screw-up my summary.I always making my summary more complex than the original article. So,I think I have to try to make everything"go straight."Don't think about too much and just try, maybe I'll get some experiences from mistakes , but I just know I need to change.
And it's so interesting that when my classmates even myslef speaking English are different attitudes which
compares with the way they speaking their native languages. When I write or speak in Mandarin, Japanese, Cantonese, or English, the parts I used for resonating and the way I combine my ideas are totally different. And the differencies can inspire or bring out different characters of mine.
When I speak Japanese, I think I'm gray. When I speak French, I think I'm blue. When I speak Cantonese, I feel more angry than speaking in Taiwanese. And also I can feel that I have to relax my cheeks, and put more colorful body expression when I speak English. People who use Mandarin or Taiwanese enjoy that don't descript or express things directly, and it's also one kind of beauty. Sometimes, if I translated the words I said into Chinese, it sounds like stupid, but it's the way that American get used to.
Maybe I have to forget the way I used to write in my native language and change my logic into the Western way.I know it's like a point, when I get or reach it,I'll know I've already been through it. Anyway, study more and be flexible!

Creative Commons
Creative Commons is a nonprofit organization that offers flexible copyright licenses for creative works.
Creative Commons is working to revive them. They use private rights to create public goods: creative works set free for certain uses. Like the free software and open-source movements, their ends are cooperative and community-minded, but their means are voluntary and libertarian. They work to offer creators a best-of-both-worlds way to protect their works while encouraging certain uses of them — to declare "some rights reserved."
Thus, a single goal unites Creative Commons' current and future projects: to build a layer of reasonable, flexible copyright in the face of increasingly restrictive default rules.
Creative Commons' first project, in December 2002, was the release of a set of copyright licenses free for public use. Taking inspiration in part from the Free Software Foundation's GNU General Public License (GNU GPL), Creative Commons has developed a Web application that helps people dedicate their creative works to the public domain — or retain their copyright while licensing them as free for certain uses, on certain conditions. Unlike the GNU GPL, Creative Commons licenses are not designed for software, but rather for other kinds of creative works: websites, scholarship, music, film, photography, literature, courseware, etc. C.C. hope to build upon and complement the work of others who have created public licenses for a variety of creative works. Their aim is not only to increase the sum of raw source material online, but also to make access to that material cheaper and easier. To this end, they have also developed metadata that can be used to associate creative works with their public domain or license status in a machine-readable way. C.C hopes this will enable people to use their search application and other online applications to find, for example, photographs that are free to use provided that the original photographer is credited, or songs that may be copied, distributed, or sampled with no restrictions whatsoever. We hope that the ease of use fostered by machine- readable licenses will further reduce barriers to creativity.
You also can check CC in ur country.
Completed Licenses
CC has completed the process and developed licenses for the following jurisdictions:
Itaily
JapanKorea
Spain
Taiwan
And there r the other area in CC Science Commons
create areas of free access and inquiry using standardized licenses and other means; a 'Science Commons' built out of voluntary private agreements.

AD*olescent
Campuses become a huge showroom and food expo in these days, especially in the high school. The influences of Advertisement condense in the campuses .The competition in the same generation is more serious than our imagination. Kids need friends , so they need topics to make friends . Then, Ads connect topics becoming a more powerful forces cover up campuses. Kids get the “mark” of Affluenza from their parents and pit what they caught from the environments together, and they mix all the information becoming their own “language” of Affluenza. The “style” they fit, the foods they eat, the “tone” they speak…etc are all influenced by Ads and it’s also a main trade of teenager’s pop culture.
Maybe we are not only educated by teachers and books, but also educated by Affluenza. They way we learned from Affluenza is a process as be socialized. Maybe we could legislate for keeping away the Ad signs in the campuses, but we can’t stop Affluenza growing in the kids’ minds. They way how we grow up is not only studying in the school, but also finding a way that how to survive in the adolescent Affluenza in the campus.
Something Affluenza.....bother me> <
Fortunately, I don't have enough ability to be controlled by Affluenza. In my point of view, if someone can be influenced by
Affluenza,or enjoy in it, he or she must be some "level" in the society. If the people who are at the same "stage" as me. The time we spend for working and the wages we get are imbalance, and the thing which supports our work is enthusiam. Then, maybe he or she can't be as reckless as middle class. Thus, I always live under the tense of unsaved.
Even though, I don't have ability could be controlled by affluenza, I'm still covered by this huge capitalist storm. I save money to buy some furnitures or clothing made by my favorite designers; I can't live without the "sound" output from "Boss".
I like (or adore) the silver accessories of Geoge Jensen.
When I have enough money, I'd love to go out and "take a look" for everything fresh;when I don't have enough money, shopping or looking become a kind of torment .I think this kind of suffering is one typical symptom of Affluenza.
Gladly, I have some rationalities (such as I've never used credit card for debt). I only do or pay something under my ability and control. When I walk on the streets and hit by something which drives me crazy, I always count my balance of my account. It's a kind of reaction. Sometimes, I think it's so ridiculous and laughing at myself.
By the way, I really shocked by the system of returning in the U.S. In my county, it's really difficult to return the products we bought, besides there are some blemishes of the products. So, we have to think more carefully before we check out.
Some of my friends here they usually return the goods they bought after sale seasons. They can "enjoy" Affluenza, but get less pain from the credit bills.

Morimoto NYC
Morimoto NYC
88 tenth avenue new york ,ny10011
www.morimotonyc.com
tel 2129898883
fax 2129898822
They only serve for dinner ,and please make reservation before one month!!!it just located in
10 ave and 15st-16st.
Tadao Ando’s design for Morimoto includes a white fiberglass-canvas ceiling draped throughout the dining room.
In the works for over two years, Morimoto, designed by Osaka-based Tadao Ando and the architect’s first project in New York, opens today, January 31. Located in the building that contains Chelsea Market, between 15th and 16th Streets, Morimoto is located on the Tenth Avenue side of the market, and is on the same block as Buddakan, an Asian fusion restaurant that will open on February 22nd. Both are the brainchild of Philadelphia-based restaurateur Stephen Starr.
“Ando works primarily in concrete and I knew it would be a challenge,” said Starr, who owns more than a dozen restaurants in Philadelphia that have been designed by the likes of India Mahdavi, Karim Rashid, and David Rockwell. “I knew that could be a problem. An all-concrete restaurant is not a place people would want to go. So we sat down and figured out how to make that work,” he said. Morimoto is named after its chef Masaharu Morimoto, known on television as the Iron Chef, from the eponymous series.
Located directly underneath a stretch of the High Line, the exterior of Morimoto is a dark galvanized steel façade, with a gentle rising archway, which frames an orange curtain that leads to the entrance. Budgeted at $12 million, the interior of Morimoto features Ando’s trademark use of concrete, but with softer touches. Inside, he has draped the interior space in swaths of white fiberglass-reinforced canvas, which flows across every inch of the ceiling. Upon entry, dining areas and sushi bar surround a central staircase that leads diners to the bar downstairs. In the floor-opening of the staircase, a dramatic installation of 17,400 water-filled glass bottles are each hung horizontally from the ceiling down to the below-grade level. Each glass bottle is fitted with an LED light that renders the simple installation into a multi-media show.

CHEF MORIMOTO
Once upon a time, "play ball," meant just that for Masaharu Morimoto. As a high school student in Hiroshima, Japan, Morimoto was well on his way to becoming a professional baseball player until a shoulder injury ended that career. Fortunately, for himself and us, he dreamed of a dual career as a sushi chef. Today, the expression is "action" and it's heard regularly on the set of the wildly popular television program, Iron Chef, where Morimoto holds the title of Japanese Iron Chef.
Chef Morimoto received nearly eight years of culinary training in Hiroshima at a restaurant specializing in sushi and traditional Kaiseki cuisine. At the age of 25 Morimoto opened his own restaurant in Hiroshima. Morimoto soon distinguished himself from his peers by infusing European and Western cooking techniques and ingredients into his preparations. Five years later, Morimoto sold the restaurant and purchased a round-trip ticket to the United States seeking to further explore and define his unique Japanese fusion. Although Hawaii, California, Louisiana, and New York were all on the itinerary, Morimoto abandoned his travels and his plans to return to Japan. He immediately settled in Manhattan.
Morimoto spent the next few years working in some of New York City's most notable Japanese restaurants. Then in 1993, Morimoto joined restaurateur, Barry Wine of Quilted Giraffe fame, as the executive chef at the Sony Club, the exclusive dining arena for Sony Corporation's executive staff and visiting V.I.P.'s. Morimoto's dream to present his Japanese fusion in a western setting was realized.

take it easy?!
we eat fast food , update the latest style.google too much detail for stars as paparazzi , from i-pod to shuffle until nano , from website to blog until podcating...........we keep using , keep shopping ,but we don't keep thinking.NO NO NO!actually, we think A LOT! However, it's just difficult to balance between demand and desire.
we are easily to get tired resently. we tired from politicians , tired from winter olympics ,tired from global warming .But we don't feel boring like ON SALE or shopping on the web . When someone feel bored from his/ her partner ,just say---take it easy!, we can change or weed him/her out , don't worry!
Instead of those Affluenzalian , I still find something and someone warm.
I know there are still some group of people believe something.Something never change , something is truth.
They believe in love , music ,arts. They depend on books , nature and instincts.I hope and believe that some people still try to make family relationship tidely. We need freedom and let off our desire of stuff, but we need warm , too.I don't wanna "take it easy"
in relationships , family ,or something we do care.If someday i can take fansy Ad as a kind of ART, maybe i can "take it easy" for my debt card.
